Hello! I am Jessica Kelley, a web designer from Flint, Michigan. I have skills in WordPress, Divi, email marketing, and Adobe Creative Suite, to name a few. I was previously a librarian, and with that experience I am able to bring my logic, organizational skills, and Google-fu to the table with every web project. I enjoy reading design blogs and learning something new every day.

Wayne State University
Master of Library and Information Science • 2008
At Wayne State University I concentrated in Information Technology, taking classes such as Scripting Languages, Information Architecture, and Competitive Intelligence & Data Mining. I achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.85, and was the president of the student organization, SOLIS. I was also awarded 7 scholarships, including two travel awards and a Board of Governors Grant.
Eastern Michigan University
Bachelor of Science • 2004
At Eastern Michigan University I majored in Elementary Education, with a minor in mathematics and science. I achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.38, and took part in EMU’s 2004 production of the Vagina Monologues. My student teaching experience took place in Waterford, Michigan at Crary Middle School.

Senior Web Designer & Developer • 2020 – present
- Responsible for the design and development of WordPress websites and landing pages, using themes such as Divi (90%), Elementor (5%), and Avada (5%). Features of these websites include theme customization, custom graphics, contact forms, events calendars, ecommerce, audio and video integration, social media integration, and Google Analytics.
- Collaborated with Project Lead on client requirements to develop an action plan and timeline, utilizing Asana for task management.
- Managed website projects from beginning to end, including creating development sites on a secure server, design and development, finding creative and efficient solutions for client requests, implementing client feedback, and launching websites.
- Trained clients via Zoom on how to update their website and provided additional support and walkthrough videos as needed.
- Conceptualized and designed client assets for branding and website use via Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Responsible for performing regular updates to WordPress, plugins, and themes, as well as any website changes requested by the client.
